Helpful Hints
Service Placement
- All services for in-line and peninsula booths will be located on the floor at the rear center of the individual booth space
- All services for large island style booths providing a layout will be set as indicated without additional labor costs. When no layout is provided services are delivered in the most convenient manner for the facility. 1-hour labor minimums will be charged to relocate services after the initial placement is complete.
Power Availability
- Power will be provided from (1) one-hour prior to show open through (1) one-hour after show closing each day
- Exhibitors with equipment that must remain energized continuously after show closing must order 24 hour power on each circuit that should not be interrupted
120 Volt Services
- Any equipment that plugs into a standard wall outlet in the United States will require 120 volt power; the most common service ordered at the Colorado Convention Center
- To determine how much power you require, look at the back or bottom of the piece of equipment. Most equipment will have an amperage and voltage rating. Simply take the amperage and multiply it by the voltage. i.e. 5 amps X 120 volts = 600 watts
- You may power more than one device on the same service up to 2000 watts. If you have 3 devices using 5 amps (600 watts) each (1800 watts total) you may order a 2000 watt circuit. However 2000 watts is the highest single service provided. If you have 4 devices using 5 amps each (2400 watts total) you will need to purchase two services
- The Colorado Convention Center electricians will not split or branch a service. You will be required to purchase a service for each area needing power. You may bring your own 3-wire grounded extensions cords (12 gauge or larger) and plug strips. Cords and strips are available for rent at an additional cost. All two wire cords and non U.L. listed equipment is prohibited and may be removed if utilized

208V and Higher Services
- Equipment requiring medium voltage ranges from heavy motors to industrial cooking devices is normally rated at 208 volts, however other voltages such as 220 volt, 230 volt, and 480 volt may be required
- To determine the rating, look at the back or bottom of the device and locate the information plaque. It should indicate amperage, voltage and phasing
- Based upon the rating, order a separate service for each piece of equipment
- If you require voltages higher that 208V as listed on our forms, please call the Exhibitor Services Department at 303-228-8027 to obtain a custom quote
- In these instances, power, materials, transformers and labor may all be included when considering your order
- Most 220 volt devices will operate correctly on 208V power however items with heating elements may not function as efficiently. If a device must be powered at 220V or higher, a transformer rental will be required. Please call the Exhibitor Services Department at 303-228-8027 to obtain a custom quote
- Instruments are included in the cost of all phone services with the exception of Data/Fax (no instrument required) lines. Fax machines, Credit Card processors, etc. must be supplied by the exhibitor
- The Colorado Convention Center standard is to deliver phone lines restricted to 1-800 numbers and local calls only. Please indicate on your order if you would like Long-distance service enabled
- Long-distance calls are charged at prevailing retail rates. To save money it is advisable to keep your line restricted and issue calling cards or calling pass codes to your staff
- All phone lines require dialing a "9" to obtain an outside line. You may, at an additional cost, opt to turn this feature off
- All phone lines with the exception of Multi-button service are Analog
- Multi-Button services include one phone instrument with 2 or more appearances of the same telephone number, transfer and hold features
- To determine the correct service to order, first identify the number of computers (devices) you want to have access the Internet
- If you have only one device needing access, the Netstation Basic or NetStation Pro will be your most cost effective options. The difference is speed
- The NetStation basic product is rated up to 128K which is similar to a home DSL connection
- The NetStation Pro is rated up to 256K which is similar to a home broadband connection
- Both are adequate for simple email and web surfing tasks
- If you have more than one device, you may order either the NetRoom/Booth package or the NetEvent Package
- The NetRoom/Booth package is part of an event wide shared 10Meg network and comes with access for two devices. You may add access for additional devices at an additional cost
- The NetEvent package is a private 1.54Meg or T-1 product with 29 access codes. You may order additional locations and access codes for this product at additional cost
- All of our services may be delivered wirelessly at an additional cost. To obtain specific quotes and WiFi agreements please call 303-228-8027
- For specific assistance, please call Exhibitor Services at 303-228-8027
Compressed Air
- Determine the number of devices requiring compressed air in your booth
- If you require more than one connection, order the first connection at the standard rate and order the additional connections at the branch rate
- The Colorado Convention Center provides raw unregulated air service. All connections are standard ½" quick couplers. It is advisable that exhibitors provide their own line driers and water traps to avoid contamination
- Exhibitors are responsible for providing regulators to meet specific regulated pressure requirements
Water Services
- Exhibitors have two options when ordering water service at the Colorado Convention Center
- You may purchase specific amounts of water and our engineers will perform the fill and drain for you provided no chemicals are added to the water. For specific leak protection, holding tank requirements and costs, please call exhibitor services at 303-228-8027
- You may purchase running cold water delivered via overhead drop to your specific booth space
- To order running water determine the number of devices requiring connections in your booth
- If you require more than one connection, order the first connection at the standard rate and order the additional connections at the branch rate
- All connections are standard ½" NPT ends. Exhibitors should provide their own adapters to fine tune their specific connections
Drain Lines
- Determine the number of devices requiring separate drain lines in your booth
- If you require more than one connection, order the first connection at the standard rate and order the additional connections at the branch rate
- The Colorado Convention Center provides drains to floor ports via 1 ½" hoses. Please plan for these runs when designing your booth
Natural Gas Service
- Natural Gas is only available in limited areas of the hall
- Please call 303-228-8027 to determine if you are in an area where gas is provided and to obtain all information regarding this process
- In most instances, you will be required to hire a licensed contractor to extend the gas line to your booth space at your own expense and obtain a permit from the Denver Fire Department
